Have you ever made margaritas from scratch? These Homemade Peach Lime Margaritas are simple to prepare and use real peach puree.

Happy Monday! Even as summer winds down, the heat lingers in many places, and margaritas are still a year-round favorite. These Homemade Peach Lime Margaritas are bright, fruity, and surprisingly easy to make at home using fresh peach puree, lime juice, Cointreau (or another triple sec), and tequila. They’re refreshing on the rocks or blended with ice for a frozen version.

I first fell in love with making margaritas after attending a Cointreau workshop where we learned the classic lime margarita and a berry-lime twist. Inspired by that session, I developed this peach-lime variation to use fresh peaches and balance their sweetness with bright lime. The drink comes together quickly and tastes like something you’d order at a restaurant—without the high price.

For a quick classic margarita, use 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec, 2 oz silver tequila, and 1 oz fresh lime juice—shake with ice and serve over rocks. To make the peach-lime version, prepare a small batch of fresh peach puree and shake it with the other ingredients. You can serve it on the rocks or blend it with ice for a frozen cocktail.

Making margaritas at home lets you control sweetness and flavor intensity. These peach-lime margaritas are perfect for backyard gatherings, casual weeknights, or whenever you want a tasty, fruity cocktail. Below is the recipe and step-by-step instructions.

Homemade Peach Lime Margaritas

5 mins
Ingredients
- For the peach puree
- 2 peaches
- 2 limes (juiced)
- For each margarita
- 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz simple syrup or agave syrup
- 1/2 cup peach puree (about; yields ~3 margaritas)
- Sugar for rimming (optional), sliced peach and lime for garnish
Instructions
- First, make the peach puree.
- Peel, slice, and dice the peaches. Add them to a blender along with the juice of the two limes. Blend until smooth. If needed, strain to remove any large bits for a smoother texture.
- For each margarita: combine 1 oz triple sec, 2 oz tequila, 1 oz simple syrup or agave, and 1/2 cup peach puree in a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake vigorously until chilled and well blended.
- Wet the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip it in sugar, if desired. Add fresh ice to the glass, pour in the margarita, and garnish with a lime slice and a slice of fresh peach. Serve immediately.
- Note: The peach puree recipe yields enough for about three margaritas; scale the puree up or down depending on how many drinks you plan to make.
