Ingredients

  • 1 pack Kings Hawaiian rolls
  • 3/4 stick salted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp white granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 21 oz can apple pie filling
  • Dollop of caramel sauce on each
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In the center of each roll, cut a square about 3/4 of the way down to create a well for the filling.
  • In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Brush the mixture over the tops and sides of the rolls, making sure some gets into the holes.
  • Spoon about two tablespoons of apple pie filling into each well, pressing the apples down so they sit at the bottom. Add a small dollop of caramel sauce on top of each filled roll.
  • Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes, or until the rolls are warmed through and the tops are lightly golden.
  • To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until you reach the desired consistency. Transfer the glaze to a resealable bag, snip a small corner, and drizzle over the warm pies. Serve warm and enjoy.
