Mini Caramel Apple Pies
Pin Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pack Kings Hawaiian rolls
- 3/4 stick salted butter melted
- 2 tbsp white granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 21 oz can apple pie filling
- Dollop of caramel sauce on each
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3-4 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In the center of each roll, cut a square about 3/4 of the way down to create a well for the filling.
-
In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Brush the mixture over the tops and sides of the rolls, making sure some gets into the holes.
-
Spoon about two tablespoons of apple pie filling into each well, pressing the apples down so they sit at the bottom. Add a small dollop of caramel sauce on top of each filled roll.
-
Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes, or until the rolls are warmed through and the tops are lightly golden.
-
To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until you reach the desired consistency. Transfer the glaze to a resealable bag, snip a small corner, and drizzle over the warm pies. Serve warm and enjoy.
