Make your own Chobani Flips–style yogurt with this simple, budget-friendly recipe. All you need is plain Greek yogurt, a sweetener of your choice, and a couple of mix-ins to recreate the sweet-and-crunchy flavors you love.

Stop spending a dollar per serving on yogurt!
Chobani Flips are delicious, but buying them every week adds up. This homemade version tastes wonderful, costs far less, and is quick to make. I wanted something my kids would enjoy as much as I do, and this hits the mark: hit of sweetness, creamy yogurt, and crunchy or fruity mix-ins. If you prefer a super-healthy option, this isn’t intended to be a diet recipe — it’s meant to taste great and be affordable.

Customize the sweetness
The sweetness is flexible. Two teaspoons of sugar per half-cup of plain Greek yogurt closely matches the sweetness of vanilla Chobani Flips. If you enjoy plain Greek yogurt, start with one teaspoon and adjust up to taste. You can substitute honey, agave, or a noncaloric sweetener like stevia if you prefer. Measuring ingredients helps you replicate your favorite level of sweetness each time.
If you like flavored coffee syrups, those work very well in yogurt. One pump of syrup per 1/2 cup of yogurt is usually enough. Vanilla and fruit-flavored syrups blend nicely; use sugar-free syrups to cut added sugar.
The base should be plain, unflavored, unsweetened Greek yogurt. Store-bought tubs work perfectly and save money compared to single-serve novelty cups. I make my own whole milk Greek yogurt for my toddler, but buying a bulk container of plain Greek yogurt is an easy, economical choice and is handy for cooking and baking too.

One tip: mix each serving right before eating. If you sweeten yogurt in advance it tends to thin out over time. Adding sugar or syrup just before serving keeps the texture thick and creamy.
